In which Dante is a whaler on the Great Lake, beholden to the whims of the Hook Pirates.

Whaler AU

After manifesting an EGO in the fallout of a disastrous voyage, Dante has become a whaling ship captain who exclusively hires the paypigs the Hook Pirates exploit with their first mate Adino (OC) and Master-at-arms Outis. They grapple with trying to remain kind when dealing with the worst sides of society, and also waffle on the obvious crush Hook Pirate First Mate Gregor has on them.
